Well if GoW is anything like Halo 2 PC, it should "just work" assuming you
have your microphone setup as your default recording device in Windows
Vista. Teamspeak/Ventrilo use their own code for mixing and taking mic
input, the Games for Windows stuff just relies on your Vista settings.
Bring up start menu and type "Sound", select the sound icon. Click on the
recording tab, make sure your headset mic is in this list of devices and
when you talk into the mic the little green bar to the right bounces around.
You might also right click on the selection and choose "Set as Default".
Press OK and try GoW again.
Think there's a setting in the "Live" menu in game that lets you "enable"
voice or something.
Problem here is I haven't touched Halo 2 pc or Shadowrun since the games
came out and I was throughly pissed that I couldn't return either, so who
know the system may be totally different now, but that's the nice thing
about the net, someone's gonna drill me a new one and call me names, and
you'll get the right answer eventually.
Party!
