Sometimes Vista is 'too fast' for things like syncing with some other device.
It uses the faster IP protocol called 'IPv6', (instead of IPv4), and you may
have to look into setting the speed of the connection to 'half-duplex' to get
your Vista to 'talk slower to the old man'
I don't know what is available
for your particular device, but let me use an ethernet card for example. You
would open device manager (devmgmt.msc) to the 'network adapter' device, and
double click for the Properties page. There would be a "Speed' tab to set
'Half Huplex' instead of something like 'autodetect'.
If you have trouble doing that, starty a new thread here, explaing what
connection you need to slow down. There are certainly a bunch of
configurations for hardware, and you need to be specific about what devices
are in use.
As far av IPv6 goes, it is no worry, since Vista uses 'tunneling' to send a
6 packet inside a 4 packet. (and we can all use a 6 packet
)
