Re: Live Mail indexing in Windows Desktop Search 3.1

First, please ensure that all the settings are as they should be. Check that
on the WDS Search options > Advanced > File types tab that the entries for
eml and nws have Index properties and file contents selected. The Filter
description should show C:\WINDOWS\system32\mimefilt.dll. If it doesn't, you
should uninstall and reinstall WDS.

Did you Rebuild your index after making changes to the settings? This would
probably happen automatically, which is why I didn't mention it before.

Try closing down WDS, rebooting and then restarting it.

If it's still not working properly, it may be necessary to uninstall it
using Add or remove programs and then reinstall it. If you still have the
installer package (something like
WindowsDesktopSearch-KB917013-V301-XP-x86-ENU.MSI), you can right-click on
it and select Repair instead.

In any case, you'll have to wait until WDS has finished indexing before
getting reliable results, and that could take several hours. Please report
back whatever happens, so others can benefit from your experience.
