| OneCare now malfunctioning Sheesh.....
I have 4 computers networked- 3 using OneCare.
I ALSO POSTED THIS IN THE GENERAL DISCUSSION FORUM DUE TO THE URGENCY TO
FIND A SOLUTION
*****************************
Last night, I turned on one of the computers I seldom use. I got some
OneCare about how it couldn't load until it downloaded something or other-
which apparently was a windows program- then I noticed that OneCare loaded
but now it is version 2. I had no idea it was going to automatically install
V2, but that's OK.
While doing that, I had my main computer also running. I then went back to
the main computer to see if it also was going to download V2. So, I clicked
on the icon in the tray- the program loaded, but not correctly. It appears
to load, but I then see the busy signal (which for Vista is a spinning
circle)- and that circle just keeps on spinning, as if it's trying to
download something with no success. It just doesn't stop and I can't click
on any of the buttons in the program.
When I click on the X to close the program, I get a windows message saying
that the program is not responding- that I can either wait, or close the
program.
I AM NOT PLEASED ABOUT THIS. This is why I quite using McAfee, the endless
issues over keeping that program running.
In other discussions in the OneCare newsgroups I've reported having a
problem getting the help functions to work (they don't).
So, what should I do? Uninstall, then reinstall? I purchased online so I
don't have a disk. Presumably, I will be allowed to reinstall again?
Or is this problem something to do with my other computer now upgraded to
OneCare V2?
