Showshifter has been dormant for several years; it may reappear as
MediaPhoenix, but don't hold your breath, it's over 18 months since a release was anticipated.
Showshifter was excellent with my Hauppauge Nova-T PCI tuner in 32-bit XP, but decidedly flaky in Vista 32-bit. I also found the free Media Portal locked up at the drop of a hat in Vista. The Hauppage WinTV works for me (new 4.1 version just out, 17 Dec '07 drivers), but my God it's ugly and the EPG opens in your browser FFS.
VMC can't even see my card.
