Don't feel alone ... when I try to look at my system information (msinfo32.exe), I get the same emtpy window with the message "Can't Collect Information" "Cannot access the Windows Management Instrumentation software. Windows Management files may be moved or missing."
And of course, none of the above suggestions have had any affect ... my WMI and RPC services are running, and I emptied the "wbemrespository" directory and rebooted.
I've got 6 weeks into trying to establish a stable copy of Vista, and I'm on my eighth reload of the OS and my application suites. I wish it would stop slowly eating itself. |
