So did I. Jane C solved this in a 12/16/2007 post. Go to:
C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar
You should find a file named Settings.ini
The file contains the details of all the loaded gadgets. You can either go
through the file and delete the duplicate entries or just delete the file
completely and replace the gadgets. I did it each way - either way works
fine.
