  1. Open "Control Panel"
  2. Click "Hardware and Sound"
  3. Click "Power Options"
  4. Under your selected power plan, click "Change plan settings"
  5. Click "Change advanced power settings"
  6. Expand the "Power buttons and lid" option in the list
  7. Expand "Start menu power button"
  8. Change the setting to "Shut down"
  9. Click "Apply"
  10. Click "OK"
  11. Close the "Edit Plan Settings" window
