Re: ALT+F4 Shut Down

mataeux is right - Vista is dumber than XP in this respect.

My XP boxes remember whatever I last selected when using Alt-F4 as a
shortcut to shutting down. Vista does not.

It's faster than mouseing for the "start" orb, finding the shutdown arrow,
clicking on the choice I want this time. Really, keyboard shortcuts are
there for a reason.

- Open "Control Panel"
- Click "Hardware and Sound"
- Click "Power Options"
- Under your selected power plan, click "Change plan settings"
- Click "Change advanced power settings"
- Expand the "Power buttons and lid" option in the list
- Expand "Start menu power button"
- Change the setting to "Shut down"
- Click "Apply"
- Click "OK"
- Close the "Edit Plan Settings" windowDoes that fix it for you?

Off Topic: There is no need to type in uppercase. It is considered
rude.
