Welcome to the forums!

As far as I know, there's no function to disable the locking button on your start menu. You can, however, change your screen saver settings so it doesn't lock your system.

1. Right click any open space on your desktop
2. Click on personalize
3. Click screen saver
4. Select a screen saver or leave it as the default - windows logo
5. In the wait box, make it at least 60 minutes
6. If the box "on resume display logon screen" is checked, uncheck it

That way if you leave your system for a while, the screen saver may activate, but you'll be returned to the desktop without logging in.
