Steve,

In a separate subthread OP mentioned also:

One Care Does not appear to be the problem - I turned it off and still can't
get on. Says window has shut down - then not responding - I have internet
connection because Money updates - Anyone with ideas???

My question was, when OC firewall is active, does it have
a diagnostic which proves that it is passing a request on
to the network?

Thanks for joining in.

Robert,

I hope your experience with IE8 gets better. I've heard others saying that we should wait until IE8 evolves before installing.

With Live OneCare, under advanced firewall settings, you should be able to see a list of programs that are allowed access through the firewall as well as programs you have blocked.

Let us know is this helps you at all.
