Yeah, personal questions are allowed, I suppose, if they are in context to the subject.
How did I learn so much about computers? Honestly, I got started about 20 years ago or so at school. I signed up for the computer class as a way to skip phys. ed., and I got hooked. The rest is just mostly tinkering about, and learning the hard way.
College did help a little (When I did my A+ back in 1999, I knew more than the lecurer, and he constantly told me to shut up so that the rest of the class can learn something - doh!), but nothing beats hard-core experience, which can only come with time.
