I don't think there's anything wrong with this drive.
Also, while HP loads the heck out of their consumer line, this machine is on the business/workstation line and it's really pretty clean. And this drive IS factory install. I basicly took the machine out of the box, booted it once to make sure all was working and replaced the drive with a 200GB, so this original is as stock as can get.

Also, I'm just throwing a couple apps on it to get me thru until a replacement for the 200 gets here. This is not going to be the new install (which will be dual boot XP/Vista on seperate partitions like the 200 that died was.)



Since posting this, i've disabled the update on the XML and am at stage 3 of getting all the others installed. Then I'll try XML again.

Still, Vista is very slow to shut down. Kinda slow to start too
