I downloaded and installed the new version last weekend on my three machines.
Everything has worked fine since. Except for slow synch at times, but that is
not the fault of the software, it is a recurring problem of Foldershare in
recent days.
You do not need to uninstall the old software. Just download and run the new
version and it will keep your setting intact, at least it did on my three
machines.
Also, during the time I had installed the new version on the first machine,
the other two continued to sync just fine. So my experience showed that old
and new versions work together, although I see no reason to install the new
version on just some PC's and not on the remaining ones. Therefore I upgraded
all three of mine.
You will notice a rather different appearance in icons etc. once you
upgrade. Also, the new version allows you to grab any file from any of your
computers using a web browser. This means all files, not just the ones
contained in your libraries.
In short, I have found the new version to be acceptable after using it for a
week.
