I notice that changing the desktop View to Classic Icons allows the
desired icon to display whereas the Medium and Large icon options show
the big 'e'. There appear to be a pile of solutions in the Windows
Vistax64.com forum (title "How to Create a Desktop Internet Shortcut
without getting the Default IE Icon in Vista"). Sound like all good
solutions but my response, 'you've got to be kidding me'. Why doesn't
it just flat work when you go thru the Change Icon dialog? Maybe the
shell32.dll doesn't scale to my desktop size, whatever this means?
