That's a pretty unique issue. Do you have a system restore from before that update? If so, try that.
I doubt the association issue at the moment because of the "Word is converting file..." message. That indicates that it is Word that is trying to open the document.
By chance are you running Word as an admin? If so, try running it in non-administrative mode. I've had some luck fixing problems that way. |
