Apparently one of the things that Vista does after it is installed is to
index all of the files on all of the hard drives. It does this without
telling you its doing it. I've had Ultimate x64 installed for about 4
days and have been having terrible hangs and waits when starting Media
Center. So finally I let it sit in a hung state. After a coupleof hours
everything started working again and Media Center now comes up without
the wait time. When I go back to XP I can see all the index files that
Vista created in my media folders.
