| When I waken my machine from Standby, it is frequently snail-slow (vs the
normal very quick response). Checking Task Manager at those times shows
MsMpEng.exe using up to 98% of the CPU (Pentium IV) and 50 MB or so of RAM.
Is this normal for One Care downloading activity, or is there some Settings
adjustment I can make to reduce that overwhelming load? I'm reasonably
certain that my machine is clean, and the One Care Firewall doesn't show any
strangers. Advice?? | |

I also have Live OneCare, but haven't experienced this kind of issue. Keep an eye on it, if it continues, I'd expand your evilware scanning. Here's a link to a short list of utilities just in case:
