Every so often the Network icon in the System Tray tells me that it is not
connected to a Network (by displaying a red X) though I can clearly see that
I am.

Glitch, common problem ... suggestions? Thanks, DH
Hi Dave,

This happens sometimes. Usually a logoff and logon or restart will clear it up.

Check to make sure that you have these services set this way. They help the Network icon know when you are connected or not.

1. Network Connections - Started - Manual
2. Network List Service - Started - Automatic
3. Network Location Awareness - Started - Automatic
4. Network Sore Interface Service - Started - Automatic
