It seems to be affected most by moving the mouse pointer.
If I reply to the buttons by the keyboard it doesn't lock up as often.

Explain? You may have to use Task Manager to End task
wlmail.exe Only do this if the Processes line for that task
is clearly not doing I/O. E.g. activate all statistics for the
Processes tab and see that the only activity is only a slow
periodic I/O Other and I/O Other bytes increment by 16
exactly.
