I'm afraid they are kinda right about drivers...it's up to the manufacturer to keep up.
It seems you know your way around the PC but to cover the basics and a probable..
For onboard sound though you need to make sure it's turned on in your BIOS settings (eg. intergrated peripherals). Check there.
Just in case: If you have installed one of those free Mega codec packs I suggest you remove them and see if that sorts out sound problems. |
