| I was a beta tester for Windows Vista SP1. When I installed the last update I
thought it would remove the notice on the lower right corner of the monitor
that reads "Windows Vista (TM) Evaluation Copy. Build 6001". To my surprise,
the notice remind on the screen. My Vista is not an evaluation copy. What was
evaluation (while in beta) was the SP1.
Any idea how to remove this? Thanks

Hi Victor,
The final release of the SP1 has been released through Windows Update now. You will need to uninstall your prerelease SP1 version first to see it in your Windows Update. You can see how to here. Just scroll down a bit to the "Method for cause 6".
Windows Vista Service Pack 1 is not available for installation from Windows Update and is not offered by Automatic Updates
After you uninstalled it, you can also download the standalone SP1 installer if you like, or cannot find it in Windows Update afterwards. Be sure to select your 32 bit or 64 bit version.

Hope this helps,
