Good news: I can help you with the "To Do" bar:
1) Right click on the top of the bar (where it says "Arranged By...").
2) Click "Custom"
3) Click "Other Settings"
4) Adjusting this is the same as Main Pane.
Bad news. The Navigation Pane cannot be changed (
