Oh as an aside Ray - if you do this you may need to set this registry value in windows before you reboot:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\msahci\

set the "Start" key to "0" ...

after doing all of the above on the systems on this site, we see filecopies across drives going from about 4MB/s to about 60MB/s upward.
