So just to clarify what you said, game play seems jerky? Is it jerky when you are standing still looking at one point, or does it only jerk when you are turning? If its the latter, it may just be a case of low fps while turning. I understand you have the 9800GX2, but from what I've read, that card hasn't been performing as it should in some cases.
