Hi,
The Windows Mail problem turned out not to be a connection problem - I
didn't realize that only my original post was being watched automatically; I
guess it's a feature that auto-watches the first sent message in a thread,
but not the entire thread?
Anyway, I didn't try reinstalling the driver, but that's a good idea.
I just went to Device Manager and uninstalled my network adapter. Then I
chose
to Scan for hardware changes and Vista found and installed the same adapter
again immediately. After restarting, I'm still having the exact same
connection problem.
I'm already intimately familiar with the SP1 driver issues:
http://groups.google.com/group/micro...af33c?lnk=igtc
Just to be clear, I'm quite sure this is a SP1 issue since I have two
computers connected to the same router and cable modem. My other computer
is running XP and I have no trouble at all connecting to any website.
Before SP1, I had no problems connecting with my Vista box either.
Thanks for your help,
Dave
