| By install chipset drivers first did you mean before i installed windows or first thing after i installed windows? I installed the chipset drivers after installing Windows. The second time around i didnt install them at all till everything else was put on as i decided to trouble shoot through and see when the problem starts. It is definately the chipset drivers that caused the freezing problem and yes, that is the file that was downloaded and installed. As soon as the system restarted afterwards it would run for a few minutes then completely freeze up.
I didnt think to try the download from the Nvidia site. Would i need to re-start everything again and install these first? (even before windows). | |

i meant before other drivers, that might be conflicting.
aren't there any hints to be found in the eventlogs of windows? probably the system eventlog.
