Re: failure - security options logon process has failed to create dial
This last post describes exactly what I was experiencing. The same opaque windows, the same lockup and the same black screen before getting the error message. The last resort being holding the on/off button down and rebooting.
Now I'm having problems loading up in safe mode and if it turns out that the repeated on/off button shutdowns have damaged my HD I will be pursuing this with Microsoft.
I'm at a complete loss. Any further help/updates?
