I get the same message whenever I open Nero applications. It tells me to use
the directx diagnostic tool but when i search my computer for it no such file
is found. I also downloaded and installed the latest version of directx to no
avail. Another problem I'm having is no sound on the disc when I burn a dvd.
If I tell nero to write the dvd-video file to the hard drive it has sound but
if I try to burn the same file on a disc it will have picture but no audio. I
also updated the driver for my sound card and now I cant even access the
sound manager for my card to try enabling other recording devices on the card
to see if they might work. The last one I tried was the stereo mix. Seriously
thinking about reinstalling XP sp3 , Vista just doesnt seem worth the money
or hassle.
