You're right. I had to uncheck the protected files box! Actually, I've been
showing hidden files since Windows 95. However when I unchecked that box in
Vista I suddenly had a couple of desktop.ini files on my desktop which
looked bad to me so I rechecked the box to make them go away. With the box
checked, I found yet another way to find the cookies: type "shell:cookies"
into the search box and Explorer opens showing the folder in the folder pane
and the files in the main window.
