RE: Windows Security Center reports antivirius that have been removed
I had the same problem and the following steps solved it:
(1) stop the WMI service.
(2) rename or delete the "repository" folder in C:\windows\system32\wbem.
(3) start the WMI Service. Starting the service rebuilds the deleted folder
and the database, reboot.
