Re: How come i cant see it The 8800 GTX is a DirectX 10 card. All nvidia 8 series or higher are considered DirectX 10 parts. In fact the 8800 GTX is faster (in some benchmarks and resolutions) running Crysis than the 9800 GTX due to it's greater memory bandwidth (brute force). The 9800 GTX is faster is shader intensive games (brain power) than the 8800 GTX.
If you have loaded the latest Crysis patch (1.2), I would download the latest beta driver for your 8800 GTX, which will be the 174.74 and see if that helps. That driver runs the 1.2 patch fine for me (I have an 8800 GTX as well). The 169.25 had problems with it.
If that fails, just double click the icon in games explorer or right click on it and click play. Go to advanced graphics options in Crysis and if you can select anything 'Very High' then you are running in DirectX 10. |
