| Are you sure about running the 174.74 driver for the 9000 series on the 8800? The nVidia site shows the 169.25 (Dec 07) as the latest driver for the 8800GTX.
EDIT: LOL or is that why you keep calling it a beta driver? Because it's made for the 9800 series and using it for the 8800 series is the "test" or beta part now? | |

I know, it is pretty messed up LOL. 169.25 is the WHQL Blessed driver for the 8800 GTX. When Crytek released the 1.2 patch, they also 'suggested' that you load the 169.44 beta driver for best results. I usually don't switch drivers unless I'm trying to solve a specific problem that I can pretty much blame on the driver. Crysis worked fine before the 1.2 patch, crashed after, so here I am in the realm of beta drivers. 169.44 didn't work for a couple of other games I play, so I updated to the latest beta for the 8800 GTX, the 174.74 driver. And if you click on the beta drivers link, punch in the 8800 GTX, 174.74 does pop up in the compatible list.
It's the latest and greatest beta for the 8800 but I cannot wait to get back to the WHQL drivers, believe me.
