They are the latest from the automatic updates in Vista. I just kept telling it, no, I don't want to install them right now. So, finally, I installed them on Monday, which most of them were Vista Security ones. So, I figured it can't hurt. Most be important. Low and behold, it did hurt, and now my system is on a 10 min boot time. I tried to load Microsoft simulater deluxe, and my system had not even gotten thru the partial install from the first next button and it froze up.

It is not a slow computer either.

AMD X2 AM2 6000+
4 gigs of Corsair dominator memory
2 74 gig raptors in Raid 0
2 8800GTX 726mb each in SLI for total 1.5G memory

So system speed and such is not an issue.
