You're on the right track. If you could find the
Folder Options (It's a good idea to find it in the
Control Panel under
Settings of
Start Menu 
), then indeed you will see the
View tab. Under the
Advanced settings, you will see the checkbox labeled "
Hide extensions for known file types" (without the quotation marks).
Uncheck that checkbox --> Apply --> Ok. After that you'll see under the icon there appears the
filename and the
extension.
Note: In Windows,
suffix means
extension. You should try to find the term
extension rather than the
suffix one.
In addition,
Menu Bar is invisible because you haven't shown it yet. You can do the following:
1. Have a glance at the very top-left corner of Windows Explorer (Windows Key + e) screen, you will be able to see a drop-down list labeled
Organize. Click on that.
2. Select
Layout -->
Menu Bar
