Re: rename file

Charles,

You're on the right track. If you could find the Folder Options (It's a good idea to find it in the Control Panel under Settings of Start Menu ), then indeed you will see the View tab. Under the Advanced settings, you will see the checkbox labeled "Hide extensions for known file types" (without the quotation marks). Uncheck that checkbox --> Apply --> Ok. After that you'll see under the icon there appears the filename and the extension.

Note: In Windows, suffix means extension. You should try to find the term extension rather than the suffix one.

In addition, Menu Bar is invisible because you haven't shown it yet. You can do the following:
1. Have a glance at the very top-left corner of Windows Explorer (Windows Key + e) screen, you will be able to see a drop-down list labeled Organize. Click on that.
2. Select Layout --> Menu Bar
