You want your computer to remain in a library but not be synchronized.

You can delete a file temporarily and harmlessly on just one computer if
that computer holds a junior membership of the library with privileges of
just Reader or Contributor and also so long as you refrain from running
FolderShare on that computer. The file will be write-protected and I hope
you know how to cope with that. If your membership is junior then the next
time you run FolderShare the deleted file will be replaced, but if your
membership is of a higher level (Editor, Senior Editor or Owner) then the
next time you run FolderShare on that computer the deletion will be
propagated from that machine to computers of the other library members.
