Actually, what Bruce stated is correct, and I see no response from you
to the original questioner in this thread.

It is possible however that a different driver will enable the 1680X1050
resolution desired, or that running the monitor from the VGA, instead of
the DVI connector (if so equipped), will enable the resolution. Visit
the chip or card manufacturer's WEBsite for drivers.

Both suggestions have worked here in different instances, when at first
a widescreen resolution such as 1680X1050 was not initially available on
this dated video card.
