Do you mean you can't access Vista from XP because "network neighbourhood." doesn't exist in vista.
If this is the case your problem is almost definitely your workgroup,
Please refer to my other post on changing your workgroup.
Also the accessing the shares from "View workgroup computers", first and they should appear in network neighbourhood.
If neither of these work try:
1.Click
Start, click
Control Panel, click
Appearance and Themes, and click
Folder Options to open the Folder Options dialog box.
2.Click the
View tab.
3.In the
Advanced Settings list, click the
Automatically Search for Network Folders and Printers check box.
4.Click
OK.
Just to let you know I have several 32/64 bit PC's on my network and that shouldn't have any impact on your connectivity.
