| I have a PLANTRONICS AUDIO 350 which has integrated sound and microphone. The other day I made the mistake of disabling my headset. I play games and I have a 5.1 sound system. I cannot get the headset to work at all now, even after setting it as the default. Furthermore if I do get it working I'd like to be able to play all sound through the headset and the speak system, this is because my 5.1 sound has hardware (a button) to shut the speakers off.

Not sure I can help.
You say you disabled the headset...but you don;t explain how did this. Perhaps if you remember how you did this you can set them back?
What sound card are you using...if it's realtek for example...you can adjust settings to enable what happens when you plug a headset.
I don't understand why users wants sound through headphones and speakers at same time but this can be set too.
What's your sound card?
