hi, I am using windows vista for the last 1 year and for the last few days, i m getting errors like some of the files are corrupt and run the chkdsk utility. When i try to run the utility it's not starting.

I tried in 2 ways.
1. Using command prompt.
2. Harddisk properties --> tools --> check disk. it says, its already running and schedule it again during startup. When I started the machine, chkdsk utility doesn;t start.
Help me in fixing the issue.
