It's not tracking you. When you double-click on, for example the "Recently
Changed" item, then it just runs a search looking for files modified in the
last 30 days. This is something anyone could easily do through the regular
explorer UI, it's just a shortcut that some people find useful.

I would strongly recommend ignoring it and not worrying about it.
