I think it would be more ergonomic and easier to use.
To be honest, Dave, I didn't think it would be that hard a thing to sort out.
I'm used to using this kind of search on other OSs, and if I recall
correctly, Google desktop has this kind of functionality - but I would rather
remain 'In House', so to speak, as my experiences from using google desktop a
few years ago showed it to be an awful system hog.
