I have a database that I want to keep synced between my desktop and laptop.
I set up the library on each computer and chose the folder where the database
resides for syncing. The folder name is the same on both computers. The
folder and it's files synced from the desktop to the laptop without a
problem. What I don't understand and didn't realize is that the filename
gets changed after accessing and changing the database. The program I'm
using automatically opens the same database each time I open it. Not knowing
the filename was changed, I ended up screwing up my database after using it
from both computers. I had the original database, one called
dbname_laptop_date and another called dbname_desktop_date on both computers.

Now, is there a way to keep the database name from changing? Is it going to
change every time I make changes to the database? I really don't want to
have to tell the program I'm using to use a different database every time I
use it. Any suggestions?
