My Vista laptop is configured NOT to use DHCP, it has a fixed IP address.
DHCP server is NOT enabled on my router, as all my PCs are configured this
way. All the machines in my network join one and the same workgroup, NOT a
domain. I haven't touched the security policies on my Vista laptop, as I
don't even know how to get there in Vista.
I'll make available whatever info might be necessary to solve this problem -
unfortunately I don't have enough knowledge what to supply unless asked...
