| Thanks for the replies! I *think* I may have sorted it, and it is my own fault. I have a XFX 7800 GT 256meg. I recently overclocked my Core 2 Duo 2.4ghz up to 3.33ghz. (Don;t worry, I quickly ruled out that being the cause) BUT, while I was doing that I set an option on my mobo (Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6) labeled "Robust Graphic Booster". It appears that during my overcloacking I casually set this to 'Turbo'.
It appears that setting this option back to the default of 'Auto' has fixed my crashing issue.
Sorry for wasting your time! | |

Just curious if you can confirm that this was indeed your problem now that some time has passed. I am seeing the same problem playing BF2. Config is Vista x64, Core2 Quad 6600 w/ 4GB, 7800GT. I have not overclocked anything, but I am now wondering if there is some default setting in the XFX 680iLT Mobo that might be causing the problem?
