I was finally able to get my Father's PC sharing again, but we had to
try so many different things I'm not sure exactly how I fixed it. It
seemed the last thing we tried was having him go to More > Change
Users, and then log in again as himself. Then FolderShare suddenly
"woke up" and told him there was a library for him to join (mine), and
it walked him through the process of linking to a folder on his hard
drive. Then he immediately started getting files from me.
As I said, it was all more confusing and frustrating than it should
have been. There are too many places where problems arise that don't
make sense. For example, the several times it told us he didn't have
Foldershare installed, when we knew very well that he did.
I would suggest you document a detailed procedure that a remote user
can use to re-establish their connection to somebody else's library,
in the event the remote PC has been so thoroughly messed up that the
remote user must re-install Foldershare and set it up again from
scratch.
Despite my problems, thanks for the hard work on this product!
