For burning ISOs I *highly* recommend
ISO Recorder v3 - it is quick, simple, and works like a charm. It is very lightweight on resources, and can both make ISOs from discs as well as burn ISOs to discs.
I am currently using the 64bit version, but all last year and the year before I used the 32 bit version on Vista Ultimate 32bit without any problems.
