As you noted by the lack of functionality, it's not the "same" program - it
was a rewrite and unfortunately this particular feature didn't make the
initial cut during that rewrite. That team is very aware of your concerns -
they simply didn't have infinite resources at the time and so had to make
some tough calls. =\
