In the case of Norton, McAfee, or Trend Micro antivirus software,
disabling is often insufficient, and those programs must be uninstalled
if you want a trouble-free Windows Mail.

Another option is upgrading to Windows Live Mail, which is less prone
to suffering corruption from aggressive antivirus products. In any case,
email scanning must be disabled.
