Hi Bridget.

I can't be sure why your WLMail is having a problem signing in/opening, but you can edit the registry to stop WLMail from signing in when it is opened next time.

If the problem is solely with WLMail failing to sign in, then it should open correctly after applying this registry edit*:

Open regedit (Start [button]->Run...->regedit [typed]->OK [button])
Browse to the Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail
Delete the Value named 'Default User'

*Before editing the registry, it is always advisable to 'export' the relevant registry key/s (from within regedit) for backup purposes and/or create a Restore Point using System Restore.
